Nevada State Parks, Recreational Areas and Itineraries

Nevada has more than 300 hot or warm springs, the most in the nation.


Lake Mead National Recreation Area

25 miles from Las Vegas. Lake Mead is a water bassin created by the Hoover Dam. Some nautical activities are available in the marinas (boat chartering, fishing, waterskiing, etc.).


Hoover Dam

is located 30 miles from Las Vegas. The Hoover Dam was built in 1935 to channel the raging Colorado River, form a reservoir of drinking water and secondarily, supply electricity. 35 minute guided tours available in the heart of the building.

Valley of Fire State Park

is 40 miles from Las Vegas. Red rock deserts and sculpted canyons created by centuries of erosion. The park is opened every day from 8:30AM to 4:30PM, except for Thanksgiving (4th Thursday of November) and December 25th. Tel. (702) 397 2088.
